2013 – what a year

Well the first full year of if creative is nearly over. And what a year, lots of learning, great clients and fabulous experiences. Here it is in pictures.

An opening, an ending and new projects: A November round up

Well there has been so much going on lately, I thought I had better start posting about what I am up to.

So here’s the news.

Firstly there’s the opening. I attended the opening Yarra Ranges Regional Museum’s exhibition Changing Places: The Evolution of Yarra Ranges’ Main Streets.

MTILP 2013

Graduating the MTILP Program- certificate received under red mood lighting, check!

It takes a look at the evolution of retail, from the milk deliveries to on site, small scale manufacturing with retail. Helping to engage the audience, it asks, what does the future of retail look like? I am looking forward to working with the museum to produce some multimedia for the exhibition soon. Head on down to Lilydale and the beautiful former Mechanic’s Institute building where the museum is housed.

By endings, I am referring to the end of my time on the Melbourne Tourism Industry Leadership Program for 2013. I do make a brief appearance or two in this promo video, check it out to see what it’s all about. We graduated in style at Fed Square on a rainy, horrible night but of course, the warmth in the room made up for it. It’s been a great experience with many takeaways. It’ll be missed.

I’ve also attended an informative workshop on crowdfunding from iPledg (the Aussie version of Kickstarter?). Some great stats revealed, perfect for developing a plan for my client..and giving me a few ideas to start my own campaign!

I am currently working on 2 different awards programs, a marketing campaign for a major retail area in Melbourne and preparing fo a campaign launch that involves some very talented photographers. I am also looking forward to Christmas, where my obsession with pinterest is paying dividends in exciting activities for the kids!
